Elite Series Body Mounted Spare Tire Carrier - Jeep JL

Very solid built tire carrier. Eliminated the tailgate rattling I had with 35’s and I installed this tire carrier to support my much heavier beadlocks and 37’s. It did great and was installed just before hitting Moab. I think the only thing I am concerned about is the license plate holder coming loose with only the one screw holding it, but so far no issues.

Very rugged and attractive piece. It's a pity that a spacer is needed for OEM wheels with their deep offset. The main issue I have is rubbing of the right edge on the passenger side taillight housing of my '25 Rubicon. It may have been designed with older non-LED taillights in mind. Another minor issue, which may be an installation issue on my part (not sure) is that the license plate/brake light/camera are not perfectly level (which does affect the backup camera guide lines). One nice positive is that setting the OEM 33" tire/wheel lower and relocating the third brake light has noticeably increased rearward visibility through the back window. It also feels much more solid when opening and closing. The only part of the installation where I required any help was aligning the tailgate- I hung on the end of the tailgate while my wife tightened the four tailgate "hinge bolts". Once the spare tire was on, the door striker was aligned perfectly.
