Men's Canvas Arch Support Slippers

Didn't fit. Trip hazard for my partner. Had only worn them around house for maybe 5 min tops. Denied return as there were a few miniscule spots on the sole. How do you try them out without getting a bit on there? I've cleaned them but I'm 71 and although they look perfect to me im afraid they won't take the return. I have just started another return. It's alot.
