I’ve checked out the Indian Scout/Victory Octane Rear Slider Kit, and honestly it’s a solid, high‑quality piece of gear for protecting your bike’s rear end. The sliders are engineered to slide on pavement rather than grab and flip your bike in a drop, exactly what you want from protection hardware. The kit includes four sliders and matching bolts that mount at the upper and lower rear shock points, giving good coverage where the bike is most likely to take damage in a tip‑over. It’s designed to fit all Scout models (and the Octane) from about 2015 onward, so fitment is straightforward if you’ve got one of those bikes. The overall build quality feels premium for the price, and even though there aren’t a ton of formal reviews yet, owners who’ve installed them report that they do the job well and fit nicely on the bike. In the cruiser world, good protection gear like this isn’t something you want to skimp on, this kit delivers solid performance without feeling cheap.

Installation was simple enough, though I would have felt better if torque specs were included. The added protection is what I wanted for my Scout. I like how this product does not take away from the look that I am after. One concern is that the sliders may get in the way of the passenger’s foot pegs due to the position of the top shock bolt. If a single rear axle slider had been available for order I would have considered that option. Overall happy with my purchase from Dean Speed. They make great products. Still waiting on the front crash bars to complete the setup.
