More like a cheap shiny plastic, totally inflexible, difficult to install with slippery treads molded in. They are straight ridges aligned front to rear which can cause the driver or the passenger to lose their balance and fall getting into the car if their shoes are wet. Unlike the more expensive, flexible and easy to install with crosshatched ridges to help prevent slipping when getting into the car with wet shoes. If I had it to do over again I wouldn’t buy these. The trunk liner is so rigid as to cut your hands trying to install it or remove it to access the lower storage space
