PA-18 T3 Dual Shock

Great tail shock

Just replaced my existing tail shock after three years and 400 hours with the T3. The original shock I have been using came with the Javron kit at the time. I couldn’t be happier with the T3. Excellent, super smooth shock absorption. Sturdy build and the geometry works very well on the Javron SuperCub (6 inch extended main gear and 26 inch Bushwheels). Easy bolt on replacement with the standard SC tail fittings. The tail sits a little bit higher than before. Weight and balance is about the same (the T3 is .6 pounds lighter but the weight is slightly further aft so the effect on CG is negligible). However, the tail comes up sooner on the take off roll which I attribute mostly to the taller tail stance. I liked the T3 so much we went ahead and bought another one for the WagAero PA14 replica we are now building.
