Did not like it right out of the box. Had used the surf-skate setup before on a longboard & liked the flexibility it gave when riding. Seems to loosen things up when riding. However, it makes a large difference when using with just the front setup. You really have to use both. I thought I could cheap out & buy just the front, but it makes quite a difference in being able to pump/carve without setting your foot down. Back to the board - this board is really nicely setup & you can easily plant your feet without feeling like you're slipping. When I first got the board it felt a bit stiff & eventually it became a bit more worn in. Easy on flats to go-go-go forever without putting your foot on the ground. Once you get good, you can even go up slopes (no, not hills). Would recommend to anyone who's got knee/foot issues if they still like to skate, but are getting old. Got some Elementary school relatives who used it & loved it! Can feel the quality in the setup, & it's worth the $$$. The kick on tail & Nose I think really helps with pump/carve & it helps to lock your feet in. Again, you need to get the rear Surf adapter as well. That bamboo wedge just makes it the same height.
