I did a ton of research and went back and forth for over a month before deciding on a final product and am VERY happy with my steam vac. I have a 2300 sq fit house (entirely hard floors) and it’s able to handle all of it without an issue. I also have 5 dogs, so get to clean the floors basically every day. This handles it without an issue and just has enough battery to finish the job. I have it a considerable workout over the holidays and it has done a fantastic job.
I have personally recommended it to several friends and someday when it finally wears out, I will happily buy another Tineco product to replace it.
Specifics I would have cared about:
1) It’s really quite light, comparable to my stick vacuum
2) It does get the floors clean but it a maintenance machine. The benefit is it convenient enough that you don’t have to let it get bad enough to need a deep clean.
3) It’s well made and the parts are not cheaply built. Solid roller, cleverly built filter so it doesn’t get wet and it’s simple wherever it makes sense (which I look at as fewer parts that could break in the future)
4) Maintenance is FAR easier than I expected. Cleaning the canister and brush are extremely simple and intuitive.
5) Smell, as long as you clean it and let the brush dry (which requires pulling it off) you should be good to go. I have used it daily for a few weeks with all kinds of messes and have had zero issues.
