Hope Blend Green Tea (Jasmine)

They had the right idea, but it's too bitter for me

My first sip of this tea was pleasant, but after that, each subsequent sip piled on bitterness that was especially pronounced at the end. It smells and tastes pungent, and for such a pungent taste, it should probably have been toned down a little and/or balanced with other flavors. I wish I could like this tea because I like earthy flavors, and this tea certainly has that, and it stands out compared to plain green tea with a much more pronounced taste, but the bitterness is too much for me to take and I'm not sure I'm going to be able to finish the bag. You might have to try to sweeten this with something, but I tried a teaspoon of brown sugar and it didn't make any discernible difference.

Classic floral green tea

Jasmine green tea is both comforting and fortifying. Hope Blend is fragrant with jasmine blossoms and has just enough astringency from fresh-tasting green tea to give me a mental boost without the jitters. I’ve tried other brands, but nothing is as consistently flavorful as Plum Deluxe.

Like a warm blanket

This is my absolute Plum Deluxe fave. The floral notes in this blend are perfect and the tea is pleasant and smooth. Let it cool slightly and you get the full taste of the jasmine and the tea is like a warm hug and your favorite blanket all in one!
