Definitely Worth the Investment for Families

The upfront cost is a bit prohibitive, but with 2 adult skaters and 2 kids, this is definitely the way to go! It's not only a cost saver over time, but there is nothing like fresh cut or a quick touch up of the blades before practice or games. Not to mention helping out kids on the team and friends with a quick sharpening has been an added bonus. The performance of the system, both accuracy and consistency of Sparx 3 system (with Pro Base) has been very nice and easy to maintain. Using the app, you can easily make adjustments within mins to ensure dead centered and balanced inside and outside edges. Worry free going from a adult skate 7.5 to a youth 9 skate with confidence that you blades will be spot on. The laser align tool, Sparx Beam, has been a nice investment as well. I did have an issue with it initially, but after a firmware upgrade, it is performing great and at expectations. If you have 2+ skaters at home, make the investment for long term goals, both financially and those skaters.

Well thought out product

I already have the Generation 1. The third is just as incredible. If you skate a lot, have kids and family this is for you. It will pay for itself in time. Goaltenders that need blade touchups due to nicks off the posts. I verify my blades with three gauges. The Beam, Sparx level and a hollow depth indicator and it’s extremely accurate.
