Surprise gift for my birthday

So far so good. About a month ago, I was talking with my stepson and daughter-in-law about the boxwoods on their property in Setauket, L.I., wondering if boxwoods would make it through Granville winters. Thirty years ago my wife and I planted boxwoods on the Setauket property and they did well. I must've been rhapsodizing during last month's conversation. They picked up on my enthusiasm and gave me two boxwoods on April 20. They even dug the holes and mulched the area, shaming me into attending the rest of the front. I've been watering the boxwoods, not too much, I hope. They seem to be doing well. The neighbors are cheering us on, not too loudly, but just enough to make the newcomers feel welcome. I won't be bashful. If I have questions, I'll ask.
