Really useful addition to my soldering station

Perfect for holding small pieces in place for soldering, where the point anchors things vertically - I’ve already used it to solder bails to bezels, to sweat solder adornments onto plates etc and it’s made things secure in a much less fiddly way! NB Enough weight to position and hold smaller pieces; may need more weight for larger pieces.

It was much smaller than it looked in the photo, there was no dimensions given in the listing description. It will work for some applications. The washers that are meant to slide forward to add weight are very tricky to keep in place because they have to sit on the bend, unless you also elevate the base.
