Switch Three Electric Bike Kit w/LCD Display (Up to 75 Miles Range)

Battery a bit disappointing

First of all I've had my e-switchy kit for a few weeks and it works well. It's not my first electric assist system so I'm not new to how these install or work. I also like how quickly it shipped and how customer service responds quickly. Two days ago I finally had the chance to push it past a ten mile ride. Both the controller and the battery had a full fresh charge. I set out on a twenty-seven mile ride. I'm fifty-four years old with worn knees which is why I use electric assist and weigh 180 lbs. On a well maintained original Electra Townie 21 speed I have the assist set at 30% and never stop peddling. At this assist level and gearing (i keep it in 21st gear 99% of the time) which comfortably keeps me at approximately 15 mph. On this particular trip the rail trail is paved and flat with no hills. I got caught in a thunderstorm the final ten miles so I peddled harder maintaining approximately 18 mph for the final stretch. My battery indicator was down to a single bar and I could tell it wasn't pulling as well the last few miles. That seems low considering this model (switch 3) claims 75 miles. Thirty miles is probably close to my intended limit for a ride though. Just wish it didn't cut it so close. If I lose much range as it ages it'll give out when I need it the most. Still like the unit though.

Excellent turnaround and follow up Help

I participated in a 40 mile bike tour on Sunday, May 3, 2026 in New York. I was excited to start but my E Switchy 3 wheel was not working . I got in contact with the E Switchy helpline but they don’t work on Sunday. They responded to my email Monday and they were very helpful. I received step-by-step communication with help support in regards to my problem . My battery was not working. When I got home I was able to connect my battery cable properly. I want to thank the Team for keeping in touch with me when I needed them and they were very helpful; excellent turnaround time and making sure that I was OK. Thank you Linda

Exactly what I was looking for.

I've been looking for something lightweight and incognito for my 29" full suspension bike for a while now. My other ebike that I built comes in at 90 lbs (2 batteries & mid-drive motor), this bike with the kit only comes in at 45 lbs which is light enough to lift up to the roof rack on my car. Today, I was planning to just take it out for a quick test ride but ended up doing 20 miles with my only issue being that I have no idea what I did with my ear buds at the end of last riding season (lol, my problem not the kit's issue). I'm figuring with the way I ride I'll probably end up around a 50 mile range on a full charge which is exactly what I was looking for.
