Replacement Double Magnet Belt

I purchased the belt for my London’s Ice Scaters. I have used this piece in my Village for years, but the movement became jerky and sporadic. I disassembled the unit to find that the magnets on the belt were worn out. I purchased the replacement and now the set is perfect! No doubt dudes with ordering or delivery - awesome experience.

Assembled wrong!

The new belt fit the pulleys perfectly on my London Skating Club. Once it was installed I reattached the base to the rink itself and plugged the unit in only to find that the skaters all skated facing backwards! I was able to figure out through experimentation that the magnets were installed upside down in the belt, so I had to disassemble everything again, pry the magnets out of the brand new belt, and glue them back in properly. Fortunately that fixed the problem, but I lost a lot of time in the process. The poles of the magnets are not marked, so there is no way of knowing if they are installed correctly without installing and testing the rink.

It Worked!

Our London Skating Club is working again...with both figures now moving! So happy this part was available, as I wasn't sure if the belt was the issue or the motor. This was an easy fix.
