Better hot & sweet

I love elderberry…any berry really. They remind me of summer. My dad and I used to walk the fields of west Tennessee searching for elderberry to use for its medicinal properties. I have enjoyed it for years as both a cold and a hot drink all through cold and flu season as a boost to my immune system, and alone, it is one of my favorite flavors in tea. Elderberry Elixir, though, puts a spin on this favorite of mine. The licorice and clove in this blend come forward in the flavor profile and, for me, are actually the stars in this show. The elderberry takes a back seat, and for these reasons, this tisane works better for me as a sweetened, hot beverage. I hadn’t anticipated this, although given the boldness of those two flavors, I probably should have. I’ll revisit this tea in the fall once the heat starts dying down.

Taste amazing.

I love the taste, I make a hot mug of it every night before bed.
