I was able to buy one of these per lab group and painted one set of bearing red and the other yellow so they were easier to distinguish. I handed a set to each lab group with a ramp and let them investigate the similarities and differences between them. I like that they can see the two are exactly the same except for the ball bearing positions. Sometimes a disc vs a ring of the same mass is harder to comprehend. An inexpensive way to get them to explore a complex topic!
