Lamps worked ok but pulsed when used with dimmer modules

The lights were a bit too bright for what they were required even when dimmed. The first lot of dimmer modules which were purchased through boat lamps made the leds pulse when dimmed. We were told to try a resistor to increase the load but when fitted the same result ocurred. Pulsing. Another brand of dimmer module was fitted and this cured the pulsing but when fully dimmed they were too bright
