The shoes fit great and are true to size. The material is soft and strong. They look great. I went with the old english color and I am already thinking of getting another color.

Ruins socks and a strong chemical smell

I purchased this pair of high-top brown sneakers about a month ago and have been wearing them about two days a week. I do like the clean design. I am pleased with the look and fit. They match my sneaker size exactly. The quality of the leather is good. There is a minor creasing, but that is to be expected. I have two gripes with these sneakers. First is they have ruined the heels of my light color brown socks by leaving a greenish stain on them. Even after washing the socks they have a green hue to them. I don't think this stain will come out. I have had to wear black socks with these boots so as to not ruin any more socks. Secondly they still have a strong chemical smell, even after four weeks. I thought that the smell was leather, but it is really some sort of chemical. The smell is strong enough for me to smell it while walking, or while I am sitting at my desk.
