Flag Clamps vs Rotating Flag Clamps

I bought some basic flap clamps to display a 20' x 26" Naval Union Jack on a 3/8" whip. I didn't realize I need to use a small keyring and caribiner as the brass grommets won't fit into the clamp. Plus, one of the allen screws stipped/rounded when I was trying to tighten it down to prevent the clamp from sliding up and down the fiberglass whip. In hindsight, I prefer the rotating flag clamps for larger flags, an the standard clamps are probably good for flags/pennants with thinner grommets. Hope the helps!
