This instrument is a wonderful tool at a great price. The camera and software are most useful solutions to alleviate the difficulty in trying to capture digital media of one's studies. Synchronizing the images between the camera and the other eyepiece is a bit tricky. In hindsight I would try to spring for a trinocular scope to allow continuous camera utilization whilst maintaining binocular function of the eyepiece lenses. If accustomed to monocular scopes, this likely will not be too problematic. However, if viewing through magnified eyepiece inserts, there is a differential between the zoom & focus levels of what one sees and what the camera sees. Not terrible but has been mildly frustrating at times. If able to view and adjust parameters of study in real time via a connected monitor-- which the camera and its software allows-- this issue may be decreased. In my case, I cannot see the monitor from my workstation and have experienced some difficulty as a result. Overall I am very pleased with these products. I do wish that protective lens covers had been included. The camera comes with proper lens caps/covers, and the scope has covers for its two eyepiece lenses. However, the included magnified eyepiece inserts (qty. 2 -- 10X and qty. 2-- 25X) do not have such protection. To sum up, this is a great package that I definitely recommend!
