Very good cart that could use a few features and improvements
I replaced my MGI AI GPS with the Vertx Remote. Why? The MGI has been unreliable, sometimes requires reboots out on the course, and has poor battery life. This cart is the opposite of the MGI. Battery life is very good and as advertised, it boots instantly (unlike the MGI) and has been 100% reliable. The anti-tip design is quite good and reliable, too. Also, the folding design with the integrated carrying handle is well done. The remote is _chunky_ and I'd love something a bit sleeker that fits better in my pocket, but it is also very good with good button spacing and placement. There are a few improvements that I'd like to see. The first being that the cart should have a parking brake. The cart can slowly roll away from you on hills (backwards or forwards). It would be great if the STOP button set the parking brake. The second is more space around the battery when it is in the cart and specifically around the battery release. Sometimes the battery release button can't be pushed in to release the battery. I'm not sure why this happens, but pressing the button at the lowest point seems to be the guaranteed way to release it. The space is so narrow that I've had to use a plastic trim-removal tool to depress the button. Third, the cart should attempt to track straight. I had thought that the active terrain control helped the cart track reasonably straight as well as maintaining speed. It only does the latter which feels like a miss especially since turning the cart with the remote draws a lot of power. The lack of ATC directional control means that the slopes steer the cart. A final comment on the performance of the cart. I've not seen evidence of regenerative braking even on the steepest of downhill walks. Perhaps the Stewart battery app doesn't or can't show that, but I've not seen anything other than power being drawn from the battery while on the course.

Indulgent
I felt ridiculous buying this and then using it the first time. I thought who do you think you are spending this kind of money on a cart. I have to tell you I think it's genius but indulgent. I was faster getting to the next tee, I finished feeling like I could finish 18. my Body felt much less fatigued and less painful in my back knees and shoulders I want to keep walking to get the most out of the game and this is going to be a tremendous help. Yes an incredible indulgence but justified to myself who is the only person I need to think about
