The Beast

They call the Muhle R41 the Beast. I found it to be a great razor and not intimidating at all. It was however one of the smoothest shaves I have ever had ! If you are new to wetshaving it might not be a wise choice but when you have a few years behind you then this is a fantastic razor !!

Very efficient!

This razor has a reputation for being a beast, so I waited until I was well experienced (4+ years of DE shaving; over 60 razors) before buying. Wish I'd ordered it long ago! Definitely a very efficient razor, but I have others with more blade feel and/or a greater tendency to bite. Go with a light touch and take your time and it will give you a beautiful, close shave. Only negative (for me) is that the handle isn't particularly grippy. I wouldn't call this a beginner razor, but once you have the basics down, this would be a great addition - especially if you have tough whiskers.
