So far I've tried rosemary and orange blossom. Yields were not huge but I'm still getting the hang of it. However, it is very easy to use and fun to watch in operation. Next, I've got my eye on some local lavender.

Have used my copper sill twice now. (I have the double column). I first used orange peels and secondly used basil from the garden. My main concern is that my stove top does not get up to required temperature (as stated in the instruction manual). I have been able to harvest hydrosols, but very little oils and I suspect due to the fact that I can't reach high enough temperatures. This is a little limiting as I will have to devise an outside gas set-up. The hydrosol also spurts out of the pipe quite dramatically at times and misses the glass column. I affixed the funnel to the pipe with a rubber band to hold it up closer to the outlet so it doesn't splatter all over. It is also a little top heavy and I use great caution not to accidentally pull on a hose or knock against the unit. It's beautiful, easy to put together and fun to use.
