A Great Experience

I purchased a pair of sunglasses for my color-blind son for Christmas. I was hoping that I selected the proper style, the proper color-blindness recipe, and the proper prescription. Thankfully, I was 3 for 3 on all aspects. My adult son put them on and had the experience I was hoping for! He could see things differently than he had ever seen before. "Oh my gosh, Dad, look how many yellow pine cones are on top of the trees! I have never seen them before!" A few days later, he said he might have been a bit annoying to his coworkers as he was so excited to point out new colors that he was seeing. It really was the view into the world that I hoped that my son could see. As for the EnChroma company customer support, I also have positive feedbac. The first pair of sunglasses manufactured and shipped via UPS were delivered somewhere (?) other than my address. After waiting a few days with no package, I contacted Enchroma. Enchroma prepared a second pair and sent them out as soon as possible. They arrived on Christmas Eve. I appreciate all they did to ensure the gift was available on Christmas Day. When I asked my son how he would rate the glasses, his only discrepancy was the discoloring (yellow) tint that the glasses make on screen to his phone. It is more of a side effect of having the color tuning effect of the lenses, I am sure. It is a small adjustment to make to get the value of seeing colors with a quality prescription set of sunglasses.
