TUSQ Nut by Graph Tech Model # 1650-00 Slotted

Fantastic product that is a major improvement to the instrument!

I installed this Graph Tech TUSQ nut on a new $150 Tele copy I found on eBay. This product replaced a cheap plastic nut that had begun to wear after a few days of strenuous playing. This Graph Tech product is a MAJOR improvement to both tone and tuning stability. It was easy to shape for a custom fit and performs incredibly well. If my other guitars didn't have OEM Graph Tech TUSQ nuts already installed I'd have to put the TUSQ XL on every guitar in the house. Highly recommended product and well above and beyond worth the cost and effort.

Worked Perfectly!!!

I talked to someone named George on the phone because this nut had all the correct measurements except the height. So, I knew I had to get it where it was close to the old nut. I only wanted the height 1MM higher than the old one. This were it gets funny! Instead of using the nut files I could have used for cutting it off, I used my Dremel tool to sand it off and when I got it down to where I wanted it, I took the old nut off and low and behold, the bottom of it was curved! I had to go back to the Dremel tool and round out the bottom of the new one till it curved the neck correctly. Also, I left the old strings on and loosen them all. I built this Strat-like guitar out parts I bought and everything works beautifully! You should see this guitar! Tony

This is my second Les Paul I have swapped out the bone nut with the Tusq nut . The harmonics ring out on chords and the open strings just sing like never before.
