I have kept my sugar in this for 40+ years! It holds 10 pounds, and keeps it perfectly! My last one cracked from old age when we moved to a new home. And I had replaced the lid once a few years ago. So time for all new!!

Great containers with a good seal and they look nice, too. I just wish they made an even biggger size to put a 10kg bag of bread flour in. I divide it between containers.

I buy in bulk to save money and this container was just the right size for my xl large container of mashed potato, which come in a carton that looks like a milk carton and do not close tight after use. The Tupperware container seals them in for freshness and I will not worry about bugs getting into the carton.
