This pre-shave soap is a great way to add mild menthol to my lather without any scent. This soap also adds more slickness to the lather. However, I find the cooling effect is not as much as I would like. There is less cooling with this than the Stirling shave soaps with regular menthol, or even creams like Proraso green, Lea menthol etc. I now use Stirling's glacial pre-shave soap which can bring up the menthol level of the lather a bit more (or a lot more).

One of the best pre-shave soaps I’ve used, slick and ahhh, that cool menthol.
