Works excellently for train travel too
I am very happy! As a petite woman, I was worried about comfort when the brand does not offer a version with female-specific fit, but this turned out to be a total non-issue. I would not wear it without a hip belt though, and cannot comment on Minimul’s own one as I had one from another brand that fit perfectly. The organization is superb; 90% of my travel involves trains not planes, which means that I want to access this and that (laptop but also railcard … spork… toothpicks… a novel in pocketbook form, by the way the small ones fit into the slot meant for keyboards). That’s what I was looking for: a bag that I can keep upright in front of my knees when on a train and, without lifting the tray table, I shall know where everything is. Works wonders, at least for a not-so-tall person like me. Compression straps are barely needed but they do help keep the thing away from touching my knees if I’ve packed a lot. This is my only complaint: (removable) compression straps could have, should have come with the product, especially since the attachment points are not huge and not every type of clip/hook fits. Bonus: the ease of organization means that I don’t even need to unpack everything at the destination, I just keep the bag upright with the admin part zipper partially open. And at home, I keep all possible travel items in the bag and remove not-needed items each time before departing. (E.g. sunscreen for a city trip in winter? no, won’t come with me) A game changer for a frequent traveller. Final plus point: book-like opening of the main compartment that combines with good access from the top when the bag is upright is gold. So many competitors end the zipper in a corner which is bad for this! My clothes etc live in a packable zippered tote inside and that leaves a space on top where I can place my (cleanly packed) takeaway lunch. To be able access that too with the bag staying upright is wonderful. I have not yet tried this as a carryon on a plane but I foresee no issues. Because of my preference to do all sorts of things with the bag standing upright, I found myself wanting to add one more thing: a sleek black strap across the front so that I can grab the bag with both hands from the handle as well as the strap, and shift it without having to close all zips first. A strap like that is anyway good to travel with, the look is still sleek and I can access all compartments without removing it. Summary: I tinkered a bit adding extra straps, and if I had one wish, these could have come with the bag. Otherwise, perfect!

Maybe the most comfortable bag i have used. Straps and backpanel are superior! Holds a ton, lots of tech organization in the laptop compartment.

Its well made. I like the extra packing section. The straps are comfortable. The “equipment” section is way too tight. By the time your computer is in plus power cord plus mouse plus charging cables there’s little space and water proof zipper is a pain. Im sure it works but its a two handed operation. Big pack. Too small business section. One trip and done for me.
