My experience exceeded my expectations! I sent an email explaining the fact that I am new to mushroom growing! I am going to grow the mushrooms outdoors so I had many questions and concerns. My conversation with Lou addressed everything ... including assistance on which varieties (for newbies he suggested Blue Oyster and Wine Cap) I could grow in given locations ... what the varieties needed to grow and so much more. Believe me, please, I studied the North Spore website for weeks! I watched every video so could ask questions that made sense and applied to MY situation (remember, I am new to this). Lou was very patient with me and explained everything. I know I will have more questions but I know the concerns will be addressed completely. I retired yesterday and have begun to get my garden area ready for vegetables and mushrooms (lasagna!). I am also putting more mulch around my oak trees and in the more shaded areas around my deck. Tonight it dawned on me that I could hang buckets on the branches of the oaks, it's shady there! I still have some things to purchase for my projects but it's still early. I will be expanding the liquid syringes using the broth recipe found on the North Spore website. While I was waiting for the LC to arrive I made two batches of "soup". Lovely product

I used half of this syringe to successfully inoculate my grain spawn bag, the other half I gave to my parents. They're currently using it to inoculate sawdust and plant it in their raspberry and asparagus garden this spring. It worked well for me, I have no doubts that it'll work well for them as well here in Wisconsin (barring any mishaps, of course).
