This spool pin is not designed for the Featherweight, but rather the old iron Singer machines which have a small hole with which this style is pushed into. (e.g. Singer 15, 27, 66, 99, 127, 128, 185, 201, 1200, 206, 306, 319, etc.)

Perfect fit

My 201 didn't have the spool pin when I bought it at a neighbor's garage sale. I just used a wooden dowel. This was easy to install and certainly looks better!
