Rennen Tote Bag X-Pac

Not what I expected

The zipper is disappointing. The fabric surrounding it has no give, even when the bag is empty. It doesn't seem like a problem since the fabric is supposed to be sturdy (though the tugging around the zipper is a bit concerning). However, the zipper makes it challenging to pull my laptop out of its designated compartment unless you line it up perfectly the very end. The laptop pocket itself is too "loose" so I need to bulk up the bag with stuff otherwise my 16in laptop is just swimming in there. If you have a smaller laptop or plan to keep the zipper in one position most of the time then this might work for you, but it kind of defeats the purpose of (1) the larger bag and (2) the waterproof elements. Also disappointed to see inconsistencies in their return policy between the emails and the website. Make sure you read those carefully!

A very good tote bag

I like this bag. The size is just right. Love the interior bottle holder. One can carry a reusable bottle without the bottle “sticking out” and impact the overall aesthetic of the bag. The X-pac material feels space age, though I haven’t tested its water resistance ability. The magnetic exterior flap is highly functional. This is where I put my phone for easy access. I deduct one star for the lack of a shoulder strap. Boundary Supply should include a shoulder strap, or at least have one available as an optional purchase, if it bothers to put the loops for the strap. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

Good design, love X-pac material, if it has smaller size like capacity 12L for Rennes tote bag will be perfect
