Around the Block Scooter

It was okay. I have but two issues with the quality of build. One is that axle nuts had an undue degree of friction, probably the result of the black coating thickness being a bit much, that made tightening of these safety critical fasteners to accurate torque impossible. The second was that neither wheel ran very true. Both wheels were out in both lateral and radial runout. Some time spent with scooter and spoke wrench would have rectified this situation. But as it was neither my knees nor hamstrings, both port and starboard, liked scootering one bit and my first ride became, due to my body - no fault with the scooter, short and painful. I had purchased the machine as an experiment. Experiment yielded useful information and so must be considered a success. But as either useful or enjoyable transportation scootering failed.
