Incredibly heartbreaking and horrific 🖤
I've been wanting to read Michelle's work for a long time, I'm only sorry I didn't get to it sooner. She has a beautiful way with words that makes reading her story a real pleasure and a joy! This is a sad tale, but written in such a way it leaves you feeling happy and content! 💜 Stella has literally just said goodbye to her husband, David, for the final time. But no sooner has he gone than there is a knock at the door, and a strange box is left on the doorstep. A strange, talking box! The box is a guide, sent by David, to help with the grieving process, and everything beyond that! Everything you need to know, and more, so much more! It seems that David was more than prepared for his death, he has set up all that Stella will need to deal with that and to get her moving on with her life! But it's all so quick, and weird, so organized and final! This is filled with emotion and heartbreak from the very beginning. It's deeply moving as well as surreal and futuristic. It's brilliantly written, smooth flowing and captivating. Stella's character is very likable and relatable in such a short amount of time. The concept itself is great and creepy! I think everyone will be able to relate to this to some degree or other, as we have all suffered loss. It's heartbreaking and horrifying at the same time! A powerful little story that packs a huge, emotional punch! 🖤

Thought-provoking
*I’m not going to give you the ‘what this book is about’ blurb – you can read that elsewhere. Wow... just, wow. I went into this one blind and it wasn't at all what I expected - it was better! Super thought-provoking and emotional, also, oddly comforting for anyone who has experienced loss. This also had one of my favorite supporting characters ever.
