The pepper is not as hot as I thought. And the skin of the pepper is thick.

Like most hot peppers, they germinate and grow slowly, but they did germinate and without a heat mat either. Frankly I was expecting them to take an extra week to come up, but they came up in about ten days. Good quality seed. Looking forward to the warmer weather to put them outside where I am sure they will thrive.
