Preparation for a 12 trip to Europe

I purchased this backpack in preparation for a 12 trip to Europe. My goal was to find the largest backpack that would fit as a carry on, be lightweight and be laid out for maximum packing capabilities. I did a trial run 6 day trip and it was awesome! I loved the layout of the bag. Easy access to everything I needed. The quality of the zippers was like nothing I’ve had before. As I purchased souvenirs I was worried they wouldn’t fit in my bag! I was able to use every inch of space! I really loved the waist band straps. It made a huge difference in balancing the weight so it didn’t feel so heavy. I’ve never used anything like that before and was skeptical if it would made a difference or not! I can’t say enough about how fabulous this backpack is!

Real world trip tested the 40 Lite on a 14-day trip

I just used the Lite Backpack 40L for a 14-day trip through the UK, traveling 1.5-bag style, and it absolutely proved its worth. My wife chose to check a suitcase. I stuck with carry-on only. Unfortunately, someone accidentally left the airport with her bag, so it took three days to get it back. While she was dealing with baggage claims and, later, dragging a heavy suitcase over cobblestone streets, I had everything I needed with me the entire time. My bag stayed either in the overhead bin or on my back, and I never had to worry about it. I won’t pretend I wasn’t a little smug about my carry-on-only choice. My wife might tell that story a little differently. 😄 The 40L Lite was comfortable to carry, easy to live out of for two weeks, and held everything I needed without feeling bulky. It made airports, trains, and walking through cities incredibly easy. This backpack didn’t just carry my gear. It removed a lot of the friction from traveling, and that let me focus on enjoying the trip. I couldn’t ask for more from a travel backpack.

Excellent design and material and build quality

I chose the 40L Lite (and two compression packing cubes) after lengthy research and consideration and am very satisfied with it. I have taken it on two weeklong trips and it has been excellent. My wife also is impressed, being initially quite skeptical. It holds all my stuff with space to spare and is much easier to handle than a comparable roller suitcase.
