Philodendron Golden Crocodile | medium

Was so disappointed upon receiving this and one other philodendron from you that were obviously beautiful plants before they were shipped. Both arrived at my home frozen solid. One had a heat pack near the roots and that one might survive although the heat pack was long since frozen solid and no longer heating. The other had a heat pack near the leaves instead (?) and although both were shipped with probably 8 leaves each, all the leaves on this one were frozen mush and the other one had one surviving (beautiful) leaf and about 6-7 dead mushy ones. So sad as these would have been gorgeous additions to my already thriving plant collection if they had been packed and cared for a bit better by whoever packed them. In winter they should always have several heat packs as well as lots of straw or other organic material around both the roots and the leaves to preserve the healthy plants that they obviously were before shipping. It's even sadder because these are not just items but living things. Now they are suffering. I have replanted them both but don't have much hope for this golden one as it's just a stump now with a few roots on it. Perhaps you should consider NOT shipping to colder states during the winter months if you cannot provide adequate protection? Just a thought. I was hoping these would add beauty to my collection (per the pictures) but they are just sick plants now that I will need to baby, and hopefully save. :(

This is my second Philodendron Golden Crocodile. It is for my Studio, and it loves music, which I teach. The light seems to be perfect and my “Croc” looks very happy! I love the color - it stands out with all my other plants which are a dark green in this room. It grows fast, which I look forward to, since the leaves are so distinctive and the lemony hue is gorgeous!
