Great set for getting started. Everything you need; epoxy, reamers, tools, thread, etc, etc. You can build a number of rods, and if you’re just building several a year for yourself, there’s nothing else needed. Even if you advance with your rod building this kit will always be useful and usable.

It gets the job done and has all the stuff to do it but its definitely a flimsy cheap deal thats over priced making a weighted one out of wood and longer bolt with springs for larger spools of thread would be better. The drying motor also has a wobble so if you want perfect lines on your epoxy finish edges its makes it more of a pain.

Advanced kit

Kit had exactly the tools needed to complete my 1st rod. Very enjoyable experience. I am now hooked! Pun intended!
