This is a really, really solid product for whitetail hunting in PA hardwoods. I put this parka through it's paces from October of 2025 to January of 2026 before wrong this review. During that time I hunted the PA early Muzzleloader, black bear, whitetail rifle and flintlock seasons. Hunting all through almost of these varying seasons and conditions has given me the ability to sat that this is considerably warmer than what I honestly expected. It was definitely overkill for the early muzzleloader season and certain days of the rifle season as well. When this product really shines is on the damp cold December and January hunts. Even in slight drizzle, deep snows or blowing winds I was never cold or damp. Movement was also surprisingly quiet and unencumbered despite the density of the layers. After harvesting a couple of deer, one in single digit temps, the shell cleaned easily. I also noticed that it dries extremely fast compared to a lot of "performance" hunting apparel, especially after having several inches is snow built up on my shoulders or getting caught in the rain The shell seems durable and stood up well to pushing brush and briars. It can certainly get snagged on thorns, but that's the nature of any hunting apparel. The generously sized hood allows you to easily wear your normal hunting hat with the hood pulled over. It also cinches down nicely in the blowing the wind. All of the pockets are more than adequately sized with quite zippers, which is clutch for warming hands or keeping track of your gear. My only real complaint to this parka is the tight cuffs. I'm not the largest guy and it can feel somewhat tight trying to push my hand through the non-adjustable cuffs. If I were being extremely picky it would also be nice to have some kind of zippered vents to prevent overheating, but that is me just being picky. Overall this is the nicest hunting parka I have ever owned and I will happily purchase from CoS again in the future.

I want to wear it as an everyday jacket!

Got this gear because all of my older stuff was just beat up, my last set lasted me 15 years, but it shows. Figured it was time to treat myself to an early Xmas present, and right out of the box I was happy. Just by first touch I was actually very impressed. Size is true for the most part, but I truly don't think you will need more than a good base layer on bitter cold hunts.

Good quality. Not truly tested in severe cold but seems it’ll be very warm with appropriate layering. Seems a little on the heavy side compared to the bibs in my opinion.
