Clary Sage for Labour Support

I used this after my stretch and sweep to see if it helped get things moving. While I used 1/4 bottle over approximately 4 hours and felt some mild rolling contractions it did not increase any further and fizzled out when I went to bed. I also used it again after subsequently having cervidil tape inserted to induce labour. I was advised that being a first time mum I was unlikely to labour from cervidil and it was just to begin opening my cervix for a water breaking induction the following day. However I did labour within several hours of the cervidil being inserted. Whether this was supported by the Clary Sage or not is unknown, but I did enjoy the scent and liked massaging it into my skin.
