Why did I wait so long?

I don't know how long I have wanted to add a rolling camera stand to my studio, but because I have a long history of purchasing equipment goes unused, successfully talked myself out of it time and again. After adding product photography to my line, I decided it was time. First impressions: Overall build of the stand is even sturdier and sleeker than I had anticipated. The stability and ease of movement along with adjustments of the ball head mount is a thousand times better than relying on a tripod. And being able to tether to my laptop and keep it in constant reach, as I move across the room is another big bonus. The stand height, was well planned, as it can go through a standard door -- but just barely. I did struggle a bit to put the pole together at first. It wasn't clear how the hex- adjustment pins worked, but that was just a learning curve. If I were to suggest any improvements there would be two things: 1) to include a non-slip surface for the laptop tray. That was easily solved with some inexpensive rubber button feet that I attached to my laptop. 2) to add a compartment or attachment cord to keep the hex wrench attached to the system. It is essential to have on hand for adjustments or if you're going to disassemble for travel -- and those little suckers are never where you thought you left them.

Great for in studio use.

I love that its more maneuverable than a tripod while still being stable. Cheetah did a great job. Its great quality for the price and works flawlessly. Only thing better would be assembly instructions… i had to look at pictures online and wing it. I would definitely buy again but with quality like this I wont need to!

I use these stand with the 2 pistol grips. One with the table for my lap top and the other with ball head. I test her into my laptop to get the critical focus i need and make any lighting adjustments. This stand is rock solid. So glad I have it. Life is easier now.
