My Bass Darbuka Head

I ordered a 10” ZAZA head and a padded GEF bag for my GEF Dohola. Both hard-to-get items in the US. The Bag was great but the head didn’t seem right to me as I thought the crown was too low. I sent it back without first tuning it up. I contacted Frank and discussed other heads at which time he said that it was the correct head for that drum but you really have to tune it up. I said “you mean crank it?” And once he said yes, I reordered it. Darbuka Planet was quick on the return, and of course once I “cranked” it, let it sit, and then re-tuned lower, it sounds and feels marvelous at the rim. Great personal customer service. THANK YOU!
