Perfect
Iv worn this on a couple 20+ mile day hikes in which it rained on me and put it through a tough 3.5 day 55 backpacking trip and im impressed and done with merino. This thing drys and breathes amazing. It's super comfortable the side seams or stitching is done correctly where it's not one seam that lands on ur hip bone which iv seen many manufacturers do. I hikes and slept in it 4 days in a row and to my amazement it didn't smell absolutely horrible like other synthetics I've tried, yea it stunk but 55 miles mostly above 9500 feet in the alpine in July... yea lots of sweating going on. But the smell was really not bad at all! I will warn tho if u do a lot of bush whacking and climbing over and through dead fall on un or poorly maintained trails it's pretty light duty. Gathering fire wood and dragging limbs to camp it will get snaggs and pull some threads but iv yet to put a hole in it. It's a super light shirt so I'm ok with this just throwing the info out there Ill definitely be buying more. Like I said it's not a super tough shirt but it can't be for as good as it is in every other way. If I get spring and summer backpacking and early fall scouting outa 1 and its trashed ill keep buying more. For the price it can't be beat. Half the price and 10x better than my simalar sitka sun hoody. And if ur a normal hiker, backpacker you'll probably get years outa 1 so buy 1!

Love this UL sun hoodie. It gives good sun protection while being so thin and lightweight that you barely notice it on your arms. The hood fits well both over and under a hat for times of exposure and it breathes very well. It is not perfect though. The fabric is so thin and lightweight that it is picked and damaged very easily. I would also like to have thumb holes so that the backs of my hands were protected from the sun as well. Overall I am a fan and own several different colors of the shirt. Even with the few cons, I will be continuing to use and replace them as they wear out.

The Altitude exceeded all of my expectations!
I just need to inform the OV tribe that my new Altitude was put through a five-day rigorous test in Yosemite's backcountry. Bugs, heat, sweat -- all seemed to be repelled by the Altitude. The big surprise was that it never got stinky! I'll be ordering more in the near future.
