Wagyu Eye Fillet Steaks

Steaks were delicious problem is the sizes of steaks were all different. I ordered 2 steaks. Received one perfect size steak and 2 smaller portions, one of those being the tail end of the fillet which unfortunately had some tough sinew.

9+ Eye fillet

I purchased a certified MB9+ Wagyu eye fillet, expecting the signature buttery, melt-in-mouth texture typical of this grade. Unfortunately, the steak I received didn’t meet that standard. While tender, it lacked the rich marbling and creamy flavour expected of genuine MB9+ Wagyu. The taste was noticeably beefy rather than buttery. Given the certification and premium price, the eating experience was underwhelming.
