Mirzam Dark Chocolate w/ Figs, Star Anise & Cinnamon 62%

i realized that i’m not a huge fan of how star anise plays with chocolate. i also found that the anise kinda just overpowered the figs and cinnamon. if you love star anise, though, this bar would be great. it’s not terrible, but i wouldn’t say it’s for me. the chocolate itself is still nice, though!

Very Interesting Flavor

This bar is good for the adventurous palate! The star anise flavor comes through first. The dried figs are in thin strips laid along the bar. The fig’s sweetness balances out the other flavors. The first bite made me think of American sausage. Very interesting.

Delicious! Rich taste with lovely rows of fig embedded in the smooth chocolate with highly complimentary anise & cinnamon notes.
