Jelly Cylinder 5 - Skip the Cycle kit!

So much easier!

I have cycled my tank myself and now have used the skip the cycle sponge, it is so much easier using the pre-cycled sponge! Thanks for thinking of this!

Not the solution I expected.

I tried to cycle my tank the standard way, using the piece of shrimp. It took a very long time for the ammonia to build up, and then when I took it out and added the bacteria, it never dropped. It stayed constant for over two weeks. So I asked for some advice, and was suggested to use a pre-seeded filter with the bacteria. I was told that using this new pre-seeded filter would take about a week to get the cycle back on track, and I'd be able to order my jellies. It's been exactly a week, and the ammonia has only dropped by half, and the other elements are exactly the same. I'm thinking I might need to just start all over again! Maybe if I had used th epre-seeded filter from the start, it would have been different?

My tank was running for 2 weeks. I couldnt wait any longer. I did a 50% water change the day before. Now; I don’t have a jellyfish art tank; however my tank is 5 gallons (LA). The spong fit my tank perfect! All 4 jellyfish are still alive and just being busy at doing nothing! The sponge was in 2 bags. Both clipped.!
