Ultra Drilling Jig for Ultra & Mantel Brackets

Along with the Mantel Bracket, I also purchased the drilling jig and drill bit. Before boring the holes in the mantel I was installing, I used the bit to bore a hole in a test piece. As noted in other reviews, I found the bit to be quite aggressive, actually pulling the bit into the wood. Instead, I decided to use my drill press and a spade bit I already owned. I ended up with tidy holes that fit the bracket perfectly, I will definitely order more brackets from this company, but will use my own bits and jig.

Haven’t used it yet, but I suspect it will make the job easier!

Aluminum probably is good for most projects, but it definitely spit out some metal shavings and had me checking the bore often. Possibly having two versions might be helpful. Still did the job though and was helpful
