So very close to perfection, but not quite

In terms of build quality, this band is flawless. It looks and feels premium. It's the first band I've put the 58 on that is equal to the included bracelet. That being said, the tail of the strap is too long and too pointed, and the result is that it detracts from the aesthetics a bit by hanging a bit loose. As someone who doesn't like loose or overly long strap tails, this bothers me to no end, to the point where I'm considering trimming the strap myself. I know this may seem like a minor quibble, but it is something that my non-WIS girlfriend noticed as well, so I know it's not just me who can see the issue. The rubber strap on the Omega Seamaster is a good counter example to the pointed tail design choice. They opted for a squared off strap tail and a floating keeper with a small hook to keep that strap tail in place. Both of these choices make for a strap that sits flush against the wrist, and doesn't pull away in a distracting way. I believe if Everest replicated this design on their own straps they would have the best after market bands available anywhere.
