Ideal nymph review
This is my first ever “euro” rod and it has by far exceeded my expectations. It handles fish anywhere from 10-30” amazingly. It has more than enough length and protects light tippet wonderfully. I am more than satisfied with my purchase

Diamondback 4wt Euro
Took the rod to the West Branch of the Delaware. Used it with number 20 egg pattern under a small indicator. Cast effortlessly- caught 3 Browns in a couple of hours - one 25” - handled it easily. 10’10” helps keep the line off the water.

Bigger river rod.
I recently picked up the Diamondback Ideal Nymph 10ft 10in #3 weight rod for a screaming deal directly from Diamondback.
I wanted a rod for some of the bigger rivers I fish here in California where there is a chance of a steelhead grabbing my nymphs at almost anytime of the year. After watching a Devin Olsen review on the rod I ordered the 10ft 10in #3 weight.
In the couple of days I have had it out on the water I couldn't be happier with it. I have hooked and landed 4 rainbows over 20 inches with it and it handled them perfectly.
I am fishing 3X bi-color leader and 5X tippet and the rod performs flawlessly. It is light enough to handle a 2.8mm and 2.4mm double nymph combo but stout enough for larger streamers with beads 4.6mm and up.
I paired it with a 6.2oz reel and it balances perfectly. Maybe even a bit tip light which I much prefer.
Great rod.
