QUILL Fly Rod

Amazing lil rod!!

Unfortunately bought it just before it went on sale but what a great small creek/stream rod. I couldn’t be more pleased with the way it handles and casts. Works great here in northern IN and southern MI in these hard covered rivers and streams. Caught 7 browns on its 1st outing and handled them just fine. Handled drys and some streamers well also.

While I have yet to fish with it, I like the rod. It is well built and casts well in the back yard. I was looking for a shorter, small-stream, 3 wt. I could travel with. Though I had to buy a larger suitcase to fit the rod tube in. I have an 8' 6" 3 wt travel rod, but perfer a shorter ro for the small mountain streams I like to fish.

Very nice feeling rod. Perfect for chasing brook trout in small, tight mountain streams. The only improvement would be indicators to make sure the pieces are lined up correctly.
