I installed the DV8 Shock skid plates & first thing that hit the rocks was the skid plate! Now I don’t worry about bashing up the frame, bracket or shock like I did on the Raptor. The Shock skid plates were way easier to install than I thought. The skid plates add a touch of badassery under either with the rest of the DV8 skid plates, but most importantly the DV8 skid plates add peace of mind knowing these are getting hit & not the frame & shock. Pay to protect so you don’t pay to repair. I paired these with the DV8 Crash bar accessories mount , A-pillar pod drop mount, Spare tire delete kit & DV8 Skid protection on trailing arms, rear differential skid plate that already proved their worth. Thank you for making a great product to protect my baby.

Designed for easy installation, but…

The slots for mounting under the bolt heads are super wide for easy installation, (all you have to do is loosen the bolts) but I honestly wish the slots were more narrow so there’s more contact under the bolt heads, or were holes instead. I jacked it up and removed the tires for easy access, and to get weight off the shock bolts, but that’s not necessary. They fit great and should protect well if they stay put.
