Organic Iaido Hakama

Perfect

This Hakama is at the same time lightweight and sturdy while looking very elegant; It is comfortable to wear and the fabric holds its folds very neatly. I bought it in black and olive. The olive Hakama pairs very well with the white Cotton Iaido Gi and a contrasting obi. I love it.

Fantastic

This is my first cotton hakama. My others have been tetron. I like how the material feels like it has more "body" to it, and the brown color is great. Fits exactly like you'd expect.

Ito partially tore away from koshi-ita on first wear.

The first time I put them on, I heard a tearing sound when tying the ito, and discovered it had partially ripped from the koshi-ita. I am not sure exactly why this happened, as I have been wearing all different kinds of hakama for nearly 25 years, and have never encountered such an issue. At almost 178cm tall, I also found the 26.5 to be just a little bit long, despite the sizing guide. A 26 (which is what I normally wear from other manufacturers) would likely have been better. As described, the fabric is very light, which is nice for a hot day; and it hangs well, with a good appearance, despite its light weight. However, it is also more difficult to fold as a result, closer to the feeling of folding synthetic hakama.
